Awestruck by the beauty of this bird’s plumage.

Awestruck by the beauty of this bird’s plumage. I found this flicker in the road, presumably hit by a car while eating ants. Flickers are in the woodpecker family but they don’t eat from trees like most woodpeckers, instead they get their meals on the ground. Watch out for them on the road! I researched native preservation methods for the wing and gave this beautiful lil guy a proper burial. #inspiredbynature #flicker #birds #wing #nature #woodpecker #feathers #lifeanddeath
